Whoooo's in First Grade?
Welcome to our room!

Mrs. Harrison's area. This is where I try to keep organized. (I haven't quite made it yet!) We are thrilled to have a Smart Board in our room. We also enjoy reading the current books that go with the unit that are displayed in the front. The orange bulletin board will show our AR progress.
Here is our listening center. We will post our new reading strategies on our Cafe board as we learn them. Our Beanie Baby reading strategies will go on the green board.
This is where we do our morning math meeting and where we listen to stories. We also have a focus wall that shows what we are learning in each subject.
These are out computer area. They still need to be set up. There is a word work area behind this. I must have forgotten to take a picture of it. There is a short table that we sit at while we work with words in small groups.
This is our bathroom and sink area. We will be filling our book boxes very soon!
We love our fun "buggy" bathroom. It's kind of hard to see everything in this picture.
Here are some of our classroom books, our leveled readers, and our extra supplies.
These are our cubbies with some extra storage. Our Daily 5 posters will hang above this shelf as we make them.
This is our coat and lunchbox area. Our indoor recess activities are above, along with some extra storage.
We've made it around the room back to the door. Our Buzzy Bee clip chart is on the wall. I can't wait to get our class picture hung.

This is how we label each table.
This is what our tables look like before our first day of school.
You'll have to check our pictures out on our photo page throughout the year. Our room changes a lot as we learn more and more!
